Description: Austin English Academy and the Aston Educational Group offer a twofold program - one for US residents and non-immigrant students wishing to study English in the United States, and one for native speakers from all over the world wishing to teach English in one of over 20 cities in China. The Austin English Academy is a private intensive ESL school for adults in Austin, TX. We provide a wide range of classes for ESL students aged 16 and above. AEA's parent company, Aston Schools, regularly hires over 100 teachers for employment in diverse settings across China - both rural and urban. Teachers with Aston typically work in China for either 6 or 12 months. We have a range of contracts so that teachers can have a choice of how many hours they'd like to work each week. Schools in China are managed by both western and Chinese staff, and employ Chinese teaching assistants for every foreign teacher.

Highlights: Aston Schools in China provide weekend classes for Chinese children aged 4-16, and weekday classes for adults. All Aston schools pride themselves in being well-maintained, and well-stocked with teaching aides, books, and computers for teachers. Aston provides 2 hours of free Chinese language instruction for teachers, and can assist teachers in finding private tutors. We have an in-house training program and orientation, and all books and materials are provided by the school. All students are required to have a placement test, and are grouped according to fluency, not age.

Qualifications: To teach in China

- Prospective teachers must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be a native speaker of English.
- University graduate in any discipline or have prior experience in ESL education.
- Travel experience desired but not necessary.
- TESOL/CELTA/DELTA certification preferred but not necessary.
