Length of Position: 6 or 12 months

Description: This is a private boarding school situated in the capital city of Hunan province, Changsha. The place where the school is located won an international award for livable community twice. The school is bestowed by Hunan provincial government as "Hunan Private School of Excellence". It has a lake in front of and at the back of the school respectively. There is a sports center, an outdoor swimming pool, a golf practice court, tennis courts and a five-star hotel in the resort.

This school has been approved as a national training center for international Chinese language teachers by Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban). We have an exchange teacher training program in partnership with Michigan, America.

We need 15 TEFL teachers every school year:
- No application or Placement fees
- 12 hours teaching load per week
- five working days per week
- class size of 10 to 40
- monthly salary of RMB 6000 yuan
- free accommodation, meals, transportation, Internet, and medical insurance
- airfare reimbursement
- assistance on foreign expert certificate and residence certificate
- two vacations for travel during each semester in addition to regular weekends
- winter vacation with full paid salary
- assistant teachers and free Mandarin Chinese lessons to be offered
- orientation training
- option to choose the students level from K to Grade 11 and international students as well

Also includes:
1. 100 yuan for phone bill
2. free medical treatment on campus offered
3. Round trip airfare for a school year; one way airfare for one semester
4. An apartment of 88 square meters for each teacher with bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, equipped with television, A/C, refrigerator, washing machine, computer (includes Internet capabilities), telephone, water dispenser, microwave, gas stove, cooking appliance, and furniture;
5. Pick-up at Changsha airport.

The school is qualified to employ foreign teachers and international students. We employ foreign teachers all year around. The school has ten foreign teachers currently. We need 15 foreign teachers for the school year of 2009-2010 which starts from August 2009.

The fall semester starts on August 20th, 2009 and ends on January 6th. The spring semester starts on February 10th and ends on June 30th, 2010.

The total amount of investment is RMB 250,000,000 yuan. The school has an area of 210,000 square meters and has a building area of 80000 square meters. It consists of a kindergarten, a primary school, a junior high, a senior high school and an International Department. The current students' enrollment is 3410. The staff totals about 800. The school enjoys good design and first rate facilities. It is well equipped with a cable television system, an air-conditioning system, a computer network system and a security monitoring system. There are classrooms, an administration building, an art center, a gymnasium, libraries and teacher and student apartments. The school enjoys a high reputation in Hunan for its teaching quality and school spirit.
