Description: Shane Schools in Japan, China and Taiwan are currently recruiting teachers with start dates every month.

SES offers qualified EFL teachers a challenging and rewarding experience. Highlights: Teach in Japan
SESJ offers qualified EFL teachers a challenging and rewarding experience in the Tokyo area. The position offers a better than average benefit package including end contract bonus, paid transportation, paid holidays and an opportunity to teach extra hours to save a bit more. The school offers a great deal in teacher support, from arrival through to additional advanced training.

The teaching is usually in very small classes, maximum ten (10), but the average is about five (5). The teaching mix is about 50% young learners and 50% adults. A lot of the teaching involves one-on-one classes. For successful candidates, training in teaching Young Learners is provided during the first week in Japan.

Teachers (CELTA qualified or equivalent) are paid a monthly salary of Y255,000. Teachers whose teaching hours exceed 275 per quarter are also paid a bonus of Y2,500 for each extra hour taught. Most teachers earn a bonus and the average bonus is usually in the region of Y20,000. Potential annual savings of between £2,500 to £4,000 are easily achievable. Teachers will have about seven weeks paid holidays per year.

Once we have completed an interview and you have been accepted by Shane Schools, it will take 8-10 weeks to arrange a visa.

Teach in Taiwan
SEST offers qualified EFL teachers a challenging and rewarding experience in Taipei or many of the southern provinces. The position offers a better than average benefit package including reimbursed airfare and an opportunity to teach extra hours and therefore a chance to save a lot more. The school offers a great deal in teacher support, from arrival through to additional advanced training.

The teaching is usually in small classes, maximum 18, but the average is about 12. The teaching mix is about 80% young learners, with the remainder adults. For successful candidates, training in teaching Young Learners is provided during the first week in Taiwan.

For at least the first six months of the contract period teachers are paid a guarantee of 80 teaching hours per month. Average salaries range from NT$50,000 to NT$65,000 depending upon qualifications and, teacher experience. Potential annual savings of between £2,500 to £5,000 are easily achievable. Teachers will have about twenty-five days unpaid holidays per year.

Once we have completed an interview and you have been accepted by Shane Schools, it will take one to three weeks to arrange a visa.

Teach in China (NEW!)
SESC offers qualified EFL teachers a challenging and rewarding experience in the Shanghai area and some other cities. The position offers a better than average benefit package including reimbursed airfare, paid holidays, reimbursed travel, end of contract bonus and an opportunity to teach extra hours to save a bit more. The school offers a great deal in teacher support, from arrival through to additional advanced training.

The teaching is usually in small classes, maximum 18, but the average is about 12. At some outside locations teachers may teach in elementary schools to groups of up to 40! The teaching mix is about 80% young learners, with the remainder adults. For successful candidates, training in teaching Young Learners is provided during the first week in China.

Teachers (CELTA qualified or equivalent) are paid a minimum monthly salary of RMB6850 (approximately £450). Some locations pay more. Teachers whose teaching hours exceed 72 per month are also paid extra for each extra hour taught. Teachers have 22 paid holidays per year. Since the cost of living in China is extremely low it is possible to save a reasonable amount of money.

Once we have completed an interview and you have been accepted by Shane Schools, it will take 4 weeks to arrange a visa.

- Native English speaker from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa the UK or the US
- Have a recognized degree from one of these countries.
- Have an EFL or teaching certificate or are willing to take a certificate accepted by SES.
