Description:
Elementary and secondary teaching positions for qualified teachers for students from Kindergarten to Grade 11. We require all teachers to be committed Evangelical Christians, who are willing to uphold our religious and moral belief system. There are positions available for both general elementary classroom teachers, as well as specialized positions in Art, Physical Education and Science. The school year begins in mid-August with 2 weeks of teacher orientation and training. Classes begin at the beginning of September and continue until mid-June. The school celebrates a number of national holidays, as well as a 2-week break at Christmas and a 1-week break at Easter. The school day begins at 7:30 am and ends at 2:15 for the elementary classes and 2:30 for the secondary. Class sizes are generally small, ranging from approximately 4-24 students.

Our school provides many opportunities for personal, professional and spiritual growth. Our central location in Honduras means easy access to the Carribean coastal cities of Tela and La Ceiba, the islands of Utila and Roatan, the Mayan ruins of Copan and more. Teachers often travel to the surrounding Central American countries, such as Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Nicaragua, during Christmas and Easter holidays. There are many opportunities to be involved in the local community through churches, youth groups, sports and more! The school is happy to set teachers up with a Spanish tutor for weekly lessons for a very reasonable price. With English teachers from different parts of the world, our school provides opportunities to share and learn from your colleagues wide variety of experiences. There are a number of other development opportunities to be involved in, including curriculum planning and teacher training workshops.
