Description: Centro Educacional Leonardo da Vinci is a private school located in Vitoria, Espirito Santo, a mid-sized coastal city a few hours north of Rio de Janeiro. Following in a strong tradition of excellence in foreign language education, it offers a bilingual preschool program which was inaugurated in February 2006. The salary will be based on institution's salary scale, highly competitive in the Brazilian market, right now 3,600 reais (Brazilian currency). Review of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

The teacher will work with an aide from 7:15a.m. to 5:15p.m., from Monday to Friday, with 2 different groups (alternating) of up to 22 children each (3 to 6 years old). It's important that the teacher gradually starts to learn Portuguese to understand the children's needs, but the teacher has to use exclusively the English language in the classroom.

The teacher will accompany the children through lunch time and help with their shower and hygiene (an aide will be always helping).

The teacher is required to attend a weekly faculty and staff meeting from 05:30-07:00pm. Throughout the year the teacher will be requested to attend a few lectures at night, and up to two Saturday morning sections.
