Gone are the days of just any Native English speaker being hired to teach English; most quality schools require teaching experience and either TEFL or CELTA certification. Costa Rica TEFL teacher trainers combine years of experience in teaching foreign languages to offer you a unique opportunity to earn a TEFL certificate that will qualify you to teach EFL/ESL in Costa Rica or anywhere in the world. We offer a balanced program which focuses on key areas for being a successful EFL/ESL teacher such as: teaching methodologies, teaching techniques, learning styles, classroom management, classroom adaptation, culture in the classroom, effective lesson planning, creativity in the classroom and more.

Highlights: Costa Rica TEFL has highly qualified and enthusiastic instructors who have taught English in the US and around the globe. The core instructors all have Masters degrees or higher in Education and more specifically in teaching English as a second or foreign language with more than 10 years of professional teaching experience. The teacher trainers use a variety of teaching techniques and customize additional workshops to fit trainees specific needs. This gives you the chance to experience and try out new strategies and techniques in a supportive learning atmosphere, while gaining both skills and confidence as a new teacher. The course consists of 160 hours of training and includes 6-8 hours of practice teaching with local EFL students and includes: TEFL certification, full use of Intercultura's facilities (free internet, Latin dance classes, cultural lectures, excursions etc.), 10% discount on an intensive Spanish course either before or after the course. Costa Rica TEFL offers job placement assistance for teaching positions in Costa Rica and worldwide.

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year University experience
- Native to Fluent English speakers
- Minimum age: 18

Salary / Pay: most positions in CR: between $600 and $800 per month
