Typical Volunteer: A volunteer is typically a person who wants to explore the world and what other cultures offer. He/she is outgoing and not afraid to take on challenges. Most volunteers at Pharos schools want to have extended stay in Egypt to learn the Arabic language or learn more about Egyptology and the ancient egyptian civilization. Some also want to spend time on the Red Sea Scuba-diving or just enjoying the nice warm weather Egypt has even during winter months where the typical temperature is in the high seventies to mid eighties.
