Length of Position: One year

Description: Have you ever wanted to work in a foreign country? Are you a veteran teacher and are looking to take a year off from your current school? Are you a recent college graduate and are looking for a teaching opportunity? Do you just want to do something different? Maybe working in one of our learning communities in Education Network is right for you.

Education Network provides a wonderful experience for those who want to come overseas and work. We are not trying to compete with the larger corporations by treating people as numbers. At Education Network we are a small, intimate company striving to be educational leaders and are looking for individuals who are passionate and committed to educating others, as well as themselves.

Position/duties: Teaching at Kids International School, develop curricula and educational materials, attend meetings, and make class-reports.

Special skills/requirements: Native English speakers as a full-time teacher. Some understanding of Japanese preferred. Willingness in working with young children (aged 2-6). Some experiences with toddlers preferred. Ability to work independently with cooperation with staff. Willingness to adapt to and enjoy a different way of life. Class-organizing skill. Good singing voice. Outgoing and friendly personality.
               
Hours/week: 40 hours including teaching and office working. Every Saturday and Sunday off. *Monday thr. Friday: 9:00-18:00 (School closes at 2:30 p.m. excluding 1 hour lunch time)

Salary: 250,000-270,000 yen/month, 3,000,000-324,000 yen/year (less deductions for income tax)
1)An employee with diploma/certificate of ECE: 250,000 yen/m.
2)An employee with degree of ECE: 260,000 yen/m.
3)An employee with degree of ECE and a teaching experience at preschool/daycare/kindergarten more than 3 years as a classroom teacher (not a relief teacher nor an assistant teacher): 270,000 yen/m.

Airfare for Employee no-residing in Japan: up to 60,000 yen from the residential place will be paid by company in cash on employee's arrival in Japan.

Applicant's visa status: Will be sponsored , Will be renewed

* Housing is: Provided
* Rooming an apartment with another teacher.
* The monthly rent is 40,000 yen excluding the utilities.
* One private room (6 tatami mats size) furnished is provided.

Position includes : Paid holidays ,Travel allowance to the school, Paid vacation

Contract information: Length: 1 year or 2 years , Renewable
*Prefer someone who can stay more than one year.

Highlights: Kids International School, in the central city of Nagoya, Japan is looking for adults with a college degree (in Early Childhood Education) for one or two year contract with bonus and airfare (up to 60,000 yen) and housing at a reduced rate. Additionally, all Japanese holidays off and annual two weeks paid vacation allow for time to explore Japan.

* Subject/specialization: Early Childhood Education (ECE) given by the colleges or universities in the U.S, Canada or Australia.
* Professional certification Required: Education
* Experience required: Teaching experience to young children (preschoolers/kindergarteners) in the U.S., Canada or Australia is required.

    Education Network Co., Ltd.'s Mission Statement: Kids International School opened in 1997. KIS is an English Immersion preschool, located in Nagakute-cho, a suburb of Nagoya, which is in the heart of Japan. It was founded to provide children opportunities for international awareness from an early age in a safe and positive environment. We have four classes divided by ages: 1) 5 years old class, 2) 4 years old class, 3) 3 years old class, and 4) 2 years old class. There are 8-14 children in each class and they are from Japan, Canada, America, and other western countries. The Japanese teachers assist the foreign teachers. Last April of 2001, we opened a new school building in Nagakute-cho, Aichi-gun which is also a suburb of Nagoya and is close to nature but easily accessible to the city.
