Description:
A tropical nation in the heart of Southeast Asia, Thailand is an exotic land full of horizon-spreading mountains, stretching plains, sand-lined beaches, and dense forests. With such a vast array of lands to explore, beautiful Thailand appears almost like a kaleidoscope of different worlds mixed together. Here, a traveler can choose to relax on white sandy beaches, delve into the lush jungles, or even experience the busy city life in the cultural garden of Bangkok Now, participants can explore this beautiful country, while joining Global Crossroad's paid, English-teaching program. You can choose to teach for either 6 or 12 months in Thailand . You may begin teaching in Thailand at any point. However, regular semesters in Thailand start as followed: * First semester : Mid-May to Mid-August * Second semester: 1st week of November to 1st week of March Schools encourage teachers to begin in either May (first semester) or November (second semester). During semester breaks, teachers will teach in English summer camps organized by the schools. These English camps' primary goals are the teaching of conversational English and are all held in both October and April.

- Native English speakers (America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland) - Bachelor's Degree or higher - English and Education majors or TESOL/TEFL certificates are preferred - A passion and desire to work with fun and energetic children

Salary / Pay: Salaries and benefits of teachers depend on qualifications and experience. The rate of pay also varies with the type of school (public/private) and location (city/rural areas). However, teachers can expect an estimated salary to range from 30,000 baht - 50,000 baht/month ($800-$1000 per month).
Teachers work 40 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day), usually consisting of 22 hours of teaching and 18 hours dedicated to office hours. However, teaching hours/schedules may vary from school-to-school and term-to-term.
