Length of Position: 2 years

Description: We are looking for strong Christian teachers, open to do mission teaching. Our offer is to give you the opportunity to teach in another country to experience the culture of Costa Rica, it is your choice to rent an apartment or live with a Costa Rican Family.

The school day schedule is from 8am to 2pm, Monday thru Friday. The school calendar year starts at the beginning of February thru the end of June for the first semester, with July off for a mid year vacation. The second semester starts in the beginning of August and finishes in December before Christmas vacation. During the first semester, there is a week of vacation during Holy Week.

Highlights: We are a Christian school that is focused on training tomorrows' leaders. Several of our students are Pastors' and Missionaries' kids. Our three major focuses are: Christianity, English, and excellent education.

We are located in Heredia, the nearest city to San Jose. Our group of students are close to 100, from kindergarten to high school. We have a good working environment.

Glory Christian School is a school of Excellence, based on the Word of God, filled with the Spirit, building believers through discipleship, training mature leaders that reproduce themselves in others, impacting Costa Rica and the nation.

Qualifications: Those who apply to be teachers have to have references from their church and pastors. A strong Christian character and open to serve as missionary teachers, attend church while they live in Costa Rica, and are encouraged to raise extra support to enable them to be free to serve in this teaching ministry.

The teachers that come as missionary teachers are required to commit for at least a school year, covering two semesters. The semesters goes from the first week of February to the last week of June and from the last week of July to the first week of December.
