Description:
The school require the following teachers to start ideally in January 2008; Early Years KS1 ( Preferably Year 2) KS2 SENCO School policy states that all members of staff must have UK teaching credentials or equivalent credentials from their home country together with extensive National Curriculum experience. We want all teachers to grow professionally from their time with us. Our staff development programme aims to ensure that your career will be enhanced as a result. Staff led INSET sessions have been programmed and will be looking at specific classroom skills (such as Interactive Whiteboard skills) and will also look at current educational developments. Funds are also available for staff to attend courses in the UK each year or in Russia by visiting trainers. Additionally, a comprehensive induction programme is organized for new staff (both on professional and personal matters). Successful candidates will find that teaching at the International School of Moscow will be a demanding but rewarding experience. All candidates will be expected to contribute to the following: - bring current UK theory and practice to the position (curriculum, teaching & learning, assessment/recording/reporting) - be able to differentiate in a mixed ability classroom setting. - assist the school with short, medium and long-term target setting, including contributing to the School Development Plan. - be able to offer a student centred approach to learning The school is managed by the Head of Primary who will be seeking to engage other members of staff in the development of specific curriculum areas. The school's administration is headed by an expatriate and deals with staff's work permit, visas, and housing issues as well as general administrative matters of the school such as liaising with local authorities to ensure that the school operates effectively. The school is governed by a Board of Directors whose principal aim is ensuring the long term stability of the school and the attainment of its educational goals.

Qualifications:
This is a newly establish independent school, which aims to provide quality education based on the English National Curriculum to the expatriate community in Moscow. In its first year the school will provide primary education from the age of 3 to 11. The school has been established and is supported by the British Schools Development Board (BSDB), an organization that promotes British education and aims to provide families based overseas with a standard of education equal to the best independent schools in the UK. BSDB schools have rapidly earned a reputation within their communities for providing excellent education and the this school will apply the same principles that have underpinned this success: the recruitment of high caliber staff, well resourced classrooms and a selective admissions process. Teachers should have the following experience and background, applications from staff without this experience will NOT be considered and will not be contacted. * A BEd, PGCE or a successful GTP/SCITT programme qualification * At least 2 years teaching experience in the UK or in a British School abroad. This should have been within the last 5 years. * Teachers from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa are welcome to apply but they must have UK experience or have worked in an British International school * Teachers must have English as a first language * Teaching couples are welcomed to apply

Salary / Pay: A Highly competitve salary paid in Euros will be offered to the successful teachers, along with a living allowance, return flights to and from the UK, Health Insuarnce and Medical cover. Dependents of teachers will be given free or heavily subsidized placements within the school as long as they are of an appropriate age.

You must have a Teaching Degree that is the equivalent of the UK BEd, PGCE or GTP/SCITT programme and at least 2 years experience either in the UK or at the very least in a British International school using the UK National Curriculum
