Description:
Serve as teacher assistants in grades 1-7 in the Nyumbani Village, a community 3 hours from Nairobi for children orphaned by AIDS; also assist at orphanage with HIV-positive orphans. Housing, meals provided at village; living allowance approx. $125/month.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required * Native English speaker * Comfortable working in cross-cultural environments * Independent worker * Good people skills and organizational skills * Flexibility and creativity in problem solving * Teaching or volunteer experience * Interest in international education and development * Willingness to live with a family
