Our client is looking for the following Secondary Teachers to work in government Secondary Schools in Singapore: * English language * English literature * History * Geography * Economics All expatriate teachers will placed with government Secondary schools in Singapore.
Highlights:
Salary and Package * Monthly gross salaries depending on qualifications and experience. Gross salary (monthly salary + NPVP) range from S$2,500.00 to S$6,220.00 (excludes housing allowance). * Free Economy/ Tourist Class passage for officer, spouse and 2 children below the age of 18 to Singapore on first appointment, and return air passage on completion of contract.* * Interest-free settling-in-loan of S$5,000.00. * A one-time commuted baggage allowance. * A one-time commuted lodging allowance according to marital status ranging from S$1,000 to S$1,300. * Subsidised Outpatient Medical and Dental Benefits. * A tax-liable contract gratuity at 25% of the last drawn gross salary for each month of service on successful completion of contract. * Renewable contracts of three-year duration subject to good performance. * Education allowances for 2 children below the age of 18 years of study overseas or at foreign system schools in Singapore ranging from S$500 to S$800 per month. * A tax-liable housing allowance of S$1,600 per month. * Home leave upon renewal of a 3-year contract. * Applicable only if the work visa issued to the officer by the Singapore Government allows him to bring his spouse and dependent children into Singapore. Other service benefits: * Group Life Insurance Scheme (Optional) * Leave for urgent personal matters - up to 12 working days of full pay leave a year during term time to attend to urgent personal matters. * School Holidays - The school year is from January to December each year. There is a total of 12 weeks of school holidays a year. * Sick Leave - a maximum 14 days of full-pay sick leave and an additional 30 days of full-pay hospitalisation leave annually.
Qualifications:
1. Teachers must hold a relevant degree in English Language, English Literature, History, Geography or Economics. 2. Teachers must also have a Teaching certificate in at least one of the relevant teaching subjects (English language at first language level, English literature, Geography, History, or Economics) to teach at Secondary school level. 3. Teaching certificates include Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Certificate in Education, Diploma in Education or its equivalent. 4. UK trained teachers must have completed the induction year and obtained NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) status.
