Description: School: Kongjiang Senior High School (Tier one high school in Shanghai)
Location: Shanghai City downtown area, Yangpu District, one block to
Metro station(Huangxing Lu Station), across the street from a large city
park, walking distance to many restaurants. A very safe community, also
including a few other high schools and elementary schools.

Details about the position:
1)Students taught: high school students at age 15-18. Class size: 40
students.
2)Subjects taught: writing and reading, and possibly some extra
curriculum programs.
3)Work load: 16 hours per week (NOT including after school programs),20
weeks per semester.
4)Compensation/benefit:
-RMB 6000 monthly salary (about USD870 per month, paid in Chinese
currency RMB Similar position average salary: about RMB 4, 000 in
Shanghai.). Additional compensation for extra curriculum programs.
-Free lodging on campus (standard hotel room. no kitchen. Dinning in
school cafeteria)
-RMB 10,000 allowance for roundtrip international airfare (only if
committed to one-year contract)
-Holiday (Chinese national holidays, 3-day Christmas holidays, and
winter break)
5)Expected date to arrive in Shanghai: September 8th, 2008. Late arrival
will be accepted if necessary.
6)Travel allowance of RMB3500 in cash for winter break.
7)Visa application fee on School.
8)You are responsible for your own health insurance/medical/life
insurance. Estimated insurance rates: Medical/health insurance:
Premium/Coverage(In RMB): 126/10K, 246/20K,1206/100K. Life insurance:
RMB20 for every RMB10K.
Just to give you an idea about hospital visit cost: outpatient treatment
of one cavity: 2-3 visits, total cost without insurance- about RMB200
(USD 30).
