Length of Position: 3-12 months

Description: Gambia welcomes people of different cultural diversities. Its economy is one of the fastest growing one in the subregion. Most of the schools are in need of qualified teachers to prepare the youth - which comprises the majority of the population - for the challenges ahead to become the Silicon Valley of West Africa. Participants will be guided to schools that are in need of their services with accommodation provided in most of the schools in the provinces.

Highlights: Gambia is a tourist destination and offers unique historical sites like Kunta Kinte Village,    Makasutu, River Gambia and a whole lot of cultural activities. There are a lot of people from different countries that make Gambia a home away from home. The weather is fine and the country is a few hours away from Europe. The large number of tourists that visits Gambia especially around September-April makes the country unique.

Qualifications:
* A good level of general education (preferably University, polytechnic, colleges of Education etc)
* A good knowledge of the English language
* flexibility
* cultural interest
* ability to cope in a rural environment
