Length of Position: 6-18 months

Description: Position includes teaching English, drama, art and music to grades 1-9. Looking for someone who is a team player and will work with other teachers to plan and create hands on, engaging teaching lessons.

Highlights: It is a small school located in the central, mountainous area of Honduras. Students are friendly and excited to work with their teachers. Class size is small, ranging between 5 to 17 students.

Teachers live in Siguatepèque, 30 minutes from the school which is located in the small town of Taulabe. Siguatepeque has a cool, fresh climate being a mountain city. Siguatepeque is a stopping point, as it is between two major cities, San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa. Thus, it has many different shops to buy clothing, food and other necesities. There are also many internet cafes locations throughout the city.

Teachers live in a house and neighboring appartments. Teachers all have their own bedroom, bathroom, and share a living room and kitchen. There is also television and cable.

Qualifications: Looking for an individual with a bachelors degree. Experienced working with kids and second language learners preferred but not required. Must be creative and motivated about working with children, and have a desire to learn another culture.
