Description: Travel for less. Tip the advantage to you by enhancing your resume through volunteering with the Conversation Corps. Put in a couple of hours each day literally talking. The rest of your time is spent traveling and experiencing the culture of your host country in depth. "Meet" your family in advance through email and phone calls. Each family is interviewed and carefully screened by our in-country staff.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

* Teaching the host family English up to 15 hours a week Monday to Friday
* Come up with creative, fun and informative lesson plans
* Keep your room tidy and clean
* Respect host family's rules and habits
* Manage your own personal expenses (telephone bills, clothing, entertainment and spending money)
* Helping children with their English homework
* Play games in English with the children
* Create and teach educational games and activities

Highlights: GeoVisions' Conversation Corps provides English conversationalists a chance to live with a family and teach them English. Because of the close proximity of the "students" this will be an amazing adventure of living in your teaching environment. This is a high-energy position. The parents have been working all day and the children have been in school but you still need to come up with fun and enthusiastic ways to teach them English. We provide the materials; you provide the personality to liven up a family class or dinner conversation!

Qualifications: Participants will instruct their host families in English, and must be native speakers. Corps members need to have earned a high school (secondary school) diploma or certificate, be in good health and abide by the family's rules and habits. Placements are available year 'round and range in duration from one to three months. Participants must devote up to 15 hours per week, Monday thru Friday, for lessons and conversation. Lesson plans and family activities are provided by GeoVisions as part of your pre-departure.
