Length of Position: 6 months to 1 year

Description: Expertise Education, a professional hiring firm for ESL instructors, is looking for new teachers. Most of our positions begin August 20th, and include a week-long ESL teacher training and TEFL certification in Beijing. Teachers are paid a salary of 5,000 RMB per month and are provided with free housing close to the schools where they work and free lunch. Apartments are fully-furnished and modern, with Western-style amenities. The majority of our teachers are placed in kindergartens and early childhood education, but we also have partnerships with universities, primary, and secondary schools. Currently, we employ over 50 teachers in 40 contracted schools located throughout Beijing. Teachers have weekends off and generally teach less than 25 hours per week, with some additional time for lesson planning and special activities at the school. Classrooms in which our teachers work have 1-4 additional Chinese teachers who are responsible for discipline and general classroom management.

Training for 2009 positions begins August 21st and includes accommodation in a local hotel, multiple seminars on teaching, some exciting sight-seeing activities, and a TEFL course. We do not charge a program fee for this training or for TEFL certification, which will be awarded upon completion of a one-year contract.

Qualifications:

- We prefer our teachers to have a Bachelor's degree or at least one year of experience working with youth.
