Length of Position: 9-month contract

Description: The Foundation operates the Chatteris International Graduate Programme that allows recent university graduates from any discipline to contribute directly to the life and learning experience of Hong Kong students. As a CNET, you will be placed full time in a Chinese school to help improve the English language environment and motivate students to speak English. You will also have the opportunity to develop a lasting insight into the Hong Kong and Chinese culture and to form lifelong international friendships with the team of CNETs working alongside you.

Teaching in a Chinese school environment is a challenging and rewarding experience and will develop many life skills, such as confidence, flexibility, cultural diversity and communication. In addition to professional experience working in schools, the Chatteris International Graduate Programme offers optional opportunities including a Project Management Programme, Career Development Programme and Community Programme. These exist to provide graduates with transferable skills as well as personal and professional development suitable for any future career they may choose. Extensive support and training is provided throughout the year.

Salary:
HKD 13,000 per month, untaxed (Approx. USD1,660)

Qualifications:
Who we are looking for:   
Enthusiastic, fun and outgoing recent graduates who are keen to be part of an international team in Hong Kong. An interest in Chinese culture and desire to be immersed in a different way of life is a necessity. Applicants must be keen to learn from their various experiences and be both positive and open towards the various challenges they may encounter. Collaboration and teamwork is also strongly valued within the Chatteris International Graduate Programme.

Requirements:
University graduates in any discipline; native English speaker or native-level English competence; excellent clarity of speech; must have a keen interest in working with children or teenagers or perhaps considering a teaching career. No previous experience needed - we are looking for the right personality.

Salary / Pay: HKD13,000/month, Take home salary (Approx. USD1,660)

This Program is open to American, Australian, Canadian and European Participants.

Participants Travel to China Independently

Typically Participants Work in Groups of 50
