Description:
La Paz Community School, a Costa Rican non-profit, community, K-9 school located on the Pacific Coast of Guanacaste, Costa Rica, is seeking innovative, creative, and motivated secondary science/math educators to teach the culturally diverse youth of the region while helping to preserve the local culture and environment. Position begins mid-August 2009.
Highlights:
La Paz Community School is located on less than an acre of naturally landscaped terrain a half kilometer from the pristine beaches of Brasilito, Flamingo, and Potrero in the northwest province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica (View Google Map). Don Ruetz, owner of The Jungle Gym, has generously donated classroom space to La Paz Community School. La Paz also continues to seek donations to help fund future construction and expansion. We thank Don and the Ruetz family as well as our friends of La Paz for supporting new educational opportunities and progress in the coastal Guanacaste community.
Qualifications:
Educators should be certified in secondary Math and/or Science with 2-3 years of teaching experience.
