ESL Lecturer / Program Coordinator

Length of Position: 2-year contract (renewable)
Description:
1. To provide teaching, curriculum development and research in ESL. This may include unit development of programs of study, a role in planning or committee work, preparation and delivery of lectures. 2. Your primary duty as a Lecturer will be your active leadership in the classroom as well as engaging / lecturing relevant business administration subjects. 3. Work closely with the school's Program Director regarding academic matters. 4. Developing proper Department course outline and contents, for providing a high quality education to all students, in order for them to attain high achievements within their own fields of study, and prepare them well for the industry. 5. To create and maintain the course materials. Maintain good status of all these information. 6. Assist in maintaining general classroom discipline, stability, integrity, and professional image of the School. 7. Plan and organize examination by coordinating with SAS (Student Academic Services) department on all the resources necessary for good standard examinations to be carried out. To upkeep the professional standard for examination in the College. 8. Abide by the School's Policy and Procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Master / Bachelor Degree in Applied Linguistics, or equivalent from a recognized academic institution. Other ESL related certificates i.e. TESOL, TOEFL etc acquired will be beneficial. 2. At least 5 years or more lecturing experience in ESL or any other relevant areas of study. 3. Can adapt to a multi-cultural setting with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to handle students of different nationalities. 4. Able to work along side with a team of lecturers from diverse nationalities.
