Description:
Kouhoku School Corp is running four kindergartens in Sapporo with over 70 employee and 750 students. Our student is from 3yo to 5yo and each class is composed of 15 to 30 students.
Highlights:
While Sapporo is the biggest cities in Hokkaido (1.9 million population), it has also easy access to pristine nature; ocean, mountain, hotspring etc.. In winter, Hokkaido is one of the best ski site in the world, we have a lot of tourists from Australia and other Asia countries. Some employee are able to speak English so could help your smooth transfer.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree required in any major. Candidates must have completed all of their elementary and secondary education in English only. Either of (1) at least 2-year English teaching experience for under 10 yo children, or (2) at least 1-year teaching experience at kindergarten or equivalent institution (licensed in the country you worked). TESL required. Japanese language ability is also helpful but not necessary. For consideration, please submit a resume and a one page (500 word) essay titled, "Why I would like to teach English at kindergartens."

Salary / Pay: The monthly starting salary is 240,000 yen for a 5-day, 35-hour work week with a maximum of 25 teaching hours. 5 personal days per year. Japanese national holidays and total 6 weeks of vacation (during summer, winter, spring holiday at kindergarten) Private apartment furnished to Japanese standards with subsidized rent (50,000 yen/month). Health and Pension Insurance coverage through the Japanese Social Insurance System. Bonus provided upon completion of final contract.
