Length of Position: January 2010 to June 2011

Description: Teaching high school Biology, Chemistry and Physics in the English language using standard programs and textbooks from the United States of America at a small, college preparatory high school in El Salvador. The normal annual calendar is from August to June, but the present teacher must return home during the annual vacations in late December. The contract would be for the second semester of the 2009-2010 year and the entire 2010-2011 year.

Highlights: The position offers the opportunity to experience a new culture in the friendly atmosphere of a small. This is a family operated private school.

Qualifications:
- Candidates must have university level preparation in the areas of Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as a degree in education.
- Fluency in the English language is absolutely necessary.
- Prior teaching experience is desirable.
- Teachers with no accompanying dependents would be preferred.

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science

Salary / Pay: USD 1,000 clear every month for the duration of the contract. The school pays all local taxes. A furnished apartment is provided in a school residence nearby. Teachers pay for water and electricity. Internet and cable TV are provided as well as one round trip ticket per contract.
