Interac Japan is now recruiting overseas (USA & Canada, Australia & New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Mainland Europe, Jamaica and South Africa) and domestically (in Japan). Full Time Assistant Language Teachers work in Japanese public ES/JH/SH schools throughout Japan. Applicants must be able to commit to a one year contract. Previous ALT experience and Japanese language skills are preferred but not essential. Early applicants will be given preference on location and placement. Qualifications:
* Applicants must be a native/fluent speaker of English * Possess a BA/BSc or similar * Able to commit to duration of the contract. Subject to contract renewal, it may be possible to extend for a further year of employment. Fixed, regular schedule between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday (no evening, weekend or public holiday shifts). Approximately 29 of the working hours are contract teaching hours, the remaining time is spent lesson planning and performing other administrative duties in the schools. Positions are available in both Elementary School International and English language programs, and the rapidly expanding team-teaching assignments in Junior and Senior High School English classes. For all positions, an attractive monthly salary (less national income taxes of approximately 10%), paid vacation entitlements (including all school vacation periods and public holidays), reimbursement of commuting expenses, health insurance, and free Japanese lessons (offered online) are on offer for qualified candidates.
